Our New Community Space at the Design School for Regenerating Earth

The Design School for Regenerating Earth (“the Design School” or “DSRE” for short) has implemented a new feature designed to help members with their local / bioregional organizing. Bioregional Hubs can now have their own dedicated community spaces, accessible for free even to nonmembers. Membership in the Design School is not expensive—you can become a member for $5/month or $50/year—but it’s still a paywall and potentially discouraging for local community members who are not looking for the full DSRE experience.

So, a way for people to get free access to the tools is to join the Hub. Here’s the link. Community members can post new information, leave erach other messages, and use the Hub for organizing. We’ve copied over the preliminary material from this site, and invited a number of folks who are already members of the Design School to join us—folks from the region and nearby, like Ithaca.

Once you get the hang of the online platform, and its potential useful for connecting with other bioregional organizers around the world, you may choose to join the Design School proper. Here’s the link for that. The School offers some amazing programs: inspired, thoughtful, holistic, and practical. Increasingly, other organizations like R3.0 and 1000 Landscapes for a Billion People are also bringing their content to the DSRE community as well.

And if the cost is an obstacle there are scholarships available — you just have to ask for one.
